![]() This particular scene is a very difficult one for noise reduction software to work on. ![]() If you do need to make adjustments there is a set of five simple sliders.Ībove you can see an example of Arri C-log footage (with a standard Rec.709 Lut applied) that was shot at 3200 ISO without any noise reduction, and then with the default settings applying Denoiser III. The biggest benefit of the program for the type of work I do is that it is really fast to use and the default settings usually work really well without having to make any adjustments. I have tried several Denoiser programs in the past and I was really impressed with Denoiser III. While Colorista and Magic Bullet Looks may not be as powerful as DaVinci Resolve, a lot of shooters will find that they cover the majority of what they need to do. The Hue/Saturation adjustment is just one of the many tools I use frequently within Colorista. Grading a Log shot from a iPhone.Ĭolorista IV offers really nice controls and I find it a really great program to use to get colours just right. If I need to do grading rather than colour correction I find that Colorista IV and Magic Bullet Looks offer an easy to use interface. I don’t tend to do too much colour correction to my footage, and if I do, I normally rely on the inbuilt colour correction in FCPX or programs like Colour Finale Pro. Out of all the software contained within Magic Bullet Suite 13 I found that my favourites were Denoiser III and Magic Bullet Cosmo II. With DaVinci Resolve you need to round trip, unless of course you choose to edit within the program too. One of the nice things I like about Magic Bullet Suite 13, just like Colour Finale Pro, is that I don’t have to leave FCPX to use any of the features. Magic Bullet Suite 13 certainly gives you a lot of very useable software and the ability to not only colour correct and colour grade, but also add noise reduction and do things like smooth out skin with Magic Bullet Cosmo. With a cost of $899 US for the full Magic Bullet Suite 13, it faces very stiff competition from programs like DaVinci Resolve and Color Finale Pro. Having not used Magic Bullet in quite some years I was interested to find out just how it stacked up against other colour grading software and plug-ins that are now available on the market. This latest version of the software includes GPU acceleration and color correction with OpenCL support for real-time playback in Adobe Premiere Pro CC. Includes accurate, measured film grain and a foolproof vignette tool. Mix and match 22 negative stocks and 4 print stocks. Magic Bullet Film – Emulates the entire photochemical process for an authentic look.NEW – Renoiser – introducing the brand new grain engine that rebuilds footage with an incredibly authentic cinematic texture.Magic Bullet Cosmo II – features an improved skin smoothing algorithm to make talent really shine.Denoiser III – rewritten from scratch and now supported by powerful technology from wrnch, a Mark Cuban-backed computer vision technology startup.Magic Bullet Colorista IV – offers new guided color correction tool to speed up the post workflow while simultaneously educating editors.Magic Bullet Looks – now with over 200 Looks presets including 50 new Looks.Move forward 10 years and you have Magic Bullet Suite 13.

![]() There are a few distinct benefits when choosing to go with pro stock NHL hockey jerseys: Often, practice jerseys have seen a fair share of ice time worn by some of your favorite players, while game jerseys may have been donned for a single match-up or are available brand new. ![]() This is gear bought by NHL teams and includes practice and game jerseys. PRO STOCK HOCKEY JERSEYS: DRESS LIKE A PRO They might look good from afar, but get a little closer and you’ll quickly see that they are far from good. The biggest differences between premier jerseys and their on-ice counterparts? The name and numbers on the back are screen-printed, not sewn on, and they were mass-produced for sale. Retail stores also sell “premier” jerseys that look identical to pro gear and are more expensive, typically ranging from $125 to $200. The problem? These relatively cheap hockey jerseys aren't designed to be on the ice for anything more than a quick scrimmage. For example, practice jerseys still carry official logos and team colors, and are often the most cost-effective way to show support for your favorite club, priced around $100. Big sports stores sell a few varieties bearing some resemblance to the gear worn by pros, but are made of cheaper materials, such as Ultrafill polyester, and come with heat-pressed decals. If you're in the market for new ice hockey jerseys, you can always go retail. Pro Stock Hockey has a great selection of authentic NHL game jerseys that make it easy to let everyone know what team you cheer for. Sure you can buy a cheap, knockoff jersey that will fool the average person – but every true hockey player or die-hard fan will recognize the difference right away. Nothing shows your team pride quite like an authentic NHL hockey jersey. ![]() So much so that exterior reflections are beautifully portrayed.Īlso, when viewed from the side, the mirror finish and the coin-edge bezel can be seen to stand out in their respective finishes. The mirror finish is free from distortion, It is newly designed to fit the coin-edged bezel, but keeps the iconic Kurono case DNA. The case is made of forged 316L stainless steel. To achieve its unique deep-maroon color, the dial is made from phosphor-bronze for the first time. The numerals themselves - this time colored in off-white for this anniversary - are also purposefully printed in a raised format. The cylinder dial is designed to curve from the center to the outer edge of the dial, and two dial layers are pressed together to create a three-dimensional effect. Guilloche sub-dials with high-polish hands hint at the mechanical complexity of its triple calendar complication, with the mood accentuated by railway-track minute markers at the periphery.Īzuki's dial enhances the "beauty of symmetry" that is a component of the Art Deco style. It aims to evoke a sense of refined adventure - with its new high-polish coin edge bezel and deep maroon dial interplaying with an audacious off-white blacklettered vintage typeface to evoke a bold regimental atmosphere for the wrist. The design of the Calendrier Type I has been calculated to enhance the three-dimensionality of the iconic Kurono hands and the symmetry of the dial. Hence the design embraces such blemishes, adds character, and looks better over time," said Hajime Asaoka. Owners should spend their time in meaningful pursuits rather than worry about scratches. "Blemishes accumulated are unique to the wearer and is a written record of his journey and adventures through life. Its design intent is for it to be worn regularly and to develop character over time - a design that allows for and embraces scratches. 'Azuki' is a complete calendar watch with a classic coin-edged bezel that ushers in a new design language by master watchmaker Hajime Asaoka - designed for the gentleman adventurer but still firmly rooted in his penchant for the vintage romanticism of the art-deco era. Of course, great care was also taken in the color mixing of the paint itself." The sample I sent was painted on a white plastic plate, but by using a reddish "phosphor bronze" material for the dial itself, they were able to achieve a deep color tone while reducing the coating film. The person in charge of the project said that he had gone through a lot of trouble, but the finished dial was superb. I wondered if the dial maker would be able to finish the color the way I wanted.Īfter a while, the dial maker sent me the sample. "This time, as usual, I mixed the maroon myself and gave it to the dial maker as a color sample. "This is why you hardly ever see a (deep) maroon watch face." This is no problem for a car body, but very difficult for a watch face." This requires a thicker coating of paint. For a deep maroon color, it is necessary to add a dye to the pigment. However, it is a very difficult color to paint on a watch face. I personally like the maroon color very much. I don't know if this color was exported, but in Japan, the Datsun 240Z was associated with maroon. "I think the last Japanese car to have a maroon color was the Datsun 240Z. (*phosphor-bronze is multitudes harder to machine than the more commonly used brass.) Also unique for this final run of the Calendrier Type I, 'Azuki's' hour markers are further finished in off-white to provide a perfect contrast to its vintage maroon dial color. Significant effort was put into achieving the deep maroon color of the dial, including using phosphor-bronze* as a dial material for the first time. In Japan, that car color is more commonly designated as 'azuki' (tr: 'red bean') hence the nickname for the watch. Hajime Asaoka wanted to achieve a color that harked back to cars of the past, where maroon was a popular standard color. This again is a departure from traditional sculpture which places its focus on form. The "intention" of the artist is paramount in much later installation art whose roots lie in the conceptual art of the 1960s. Installation art came to prominence in the 1970s but its roots can be identified in earlier artists such as Marcel Duchamp and his use of the readymade and Kurt Schwitters' Merz art objects, rather than more traditional craft based sculpture. These included the Mattress Factory, Pittsburgh, the Museum of Installation in London, and the Fairy Doors of Ann Arbor, MI, among others. Since its acceptance as a separate discipline, a number of institutions focusing on Installation art were created. Likewise, Walt Disney Imagineering employed a similar philosophy when designing the multiple immersive spaces for Disneyland in 1955. Artistic collectives such as the Exhibition Lab at New York's American Museum of Natural History created environments to showcase the natural world in as realistic a medium as possible. Many installations are site-specific in that they are designed to exist only in the space for which they were created, appealing to qualities evident in a three-dimensional immersive medium. The genre incorporates a broad range of everyday and natural materials, which are often chosen for their " evocative" qualities, as well as new media such as video, sound, performance, immersive virtual reality and the internet.
